Affiliate link cloaker checker

Paste any page URL. The scanner finds every cloaked affiliate link on it, follows each redirect, and reveals the real destination plus the tracking parameters that survived the trip.

What this checker reveals

  • Cloaked link patterns we recognise: /go/, /out/, /recommends/, /refer/, plus Pretty Links and ThirstyAffiliates defaults.
  • The full redirect chain behind each cloak.
  • The final landing URL and which network it routes through.
  • Whether tracking IDs (tag, pid, affid, sid, subid) made it to the destination.

Why this matters

Cloaking is a publishing convenience. It lets you swap a destination later without touching every post. The cost is visibility: if the destination breaks, you find out from a missed payout, not a 404.

A weekly pass over your cloaks catches changes in days, not weeks. Run it after any merchant migration or program change you hear about, and add it to your post-publish checklist.

Frequently asked questions

What does this checker do?

It scans a page on your site for cloaked affiliate links (Pretty Links, ThirstyAffiliates, /go/, /out/, /recommends/) and follows each one to its real destination so you can see where readers actually land.

Why bother unmasking my own cloaks?

Cloaks hide the destination from you too. When a merchant changes their URL or program, your cloaked redirect can quietly point to the wrong page or a 404 without you noticing.

Is the destination URL safe to share?

The unmasked URL is the same one your visitors hit after the redirect. It is no more sensitive than the cloak itself, but treat tracking IDs like any other credential.

Can it check links inside someone else's page?

Yes. Paste any public URL. The scanner only follows links it finds in the rendered HTML.
